Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I request one 4K30 HDMI screen and two 5Gbps USB-A ports?
Those are the maker’s documented port capabilities, with appropriate USB-C video on the computer.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the page prove 100W delivered to the laptop?
No. The PD headline does not establish a complete net laptop-charging arrangement.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the USB-A hub operate without extra hub software?
The maker says plug and play with no installation; attached peripherals can still need software.
Explore this need in the finder →The ARCANITE LUCN3290 is a compact hub for a single HDMI display and two USB-A accessories. Its manufacturer page establishes that basic layout clearly, along with an aluminum-and-glass exterior and an L-shaped USB-C computer connector. Its 100W power wording is less complete: the reviewed source does not settle a full laptop-charging arrangement or a separate net host-wattage ceiling.
A simple single-screen layout
The HDMI output is specified up to 3840 by 2160 at 30Hz. That suits a reference monitor, presentation or other mostly static screen when the computer supports the necessary USB-C video output. For a primary 4K desktop where smoother scrolling and pointer motion matter, choose a documented 4K60 adapter instead. The display’s own higher refresh capability cannot raise the hub’s stated 4K limit.
There is one HDMI socket. It does not create two independent external desktops, and a USB-A connection should not be counted as another native monitor output. If multi-screen expansion is essential, look for a complete simultaneous display arrangement documented for the exact computer, including any required software.
The host plug is USB-C, but a matching shape does not establish a video signal. Confirm that the laptop port provides native video output. ARCANITE does not identify a DisplayPort version for this exact product, so the finder does not assign one. The physical host connection and the confirmed single-screen output can still be assessed without inventing that missing version.
Two USB-A data connections
The two USB-A ports are listed as USB 3.0. That establishes the standard nominal 5Gbps interface capability for compatible devices. A keyboard and storage device, or a mouse and webcam, are practical examples of how two extra sockets can help. They still share the upstream computer connection, so the rate is not a copying benchmark or a separate full-bandwidth allocation to each device at once.
Check both connector type and port count before buying. Two USB-A sockets are enough for a small set of accessories, but a keyboard, mouse, camera and storage drive would require more connections. The power-rated USB-C socket is not documented clearly as an ordinary downstream USB-C data port. It therefore cannot be counted as a confirmed spare connection for an SSD.
What the power claim leaves unresolved
The page describes USB-C Power Delivery at 100W,20V and 5A and uses “100W output” wording. It does not provide the operating detail needed to establish the input source, net laptop output and supplied power package together. A buyer requiring confirmed charging through the hub, especially at a chosen minimum wattage, needs that exact arrangement clarified or should choose a model with an explicit host-output specification.
Do not assume that a wall charger is supplied merely because PD appears in the title. The source does not establish that package detail. Similarly, the power headline does not make both USB-A ports independent fast-charging outlets or guarantee enough peripheral power for every combination of storage devices. Follow the connected equipment’s own supply requirements.
Construction and computer fit
The L-shaped host connector and flexible cable can change how the adapter sits beside a laptop. Check the direction of the plug, the location of nearby computer sockets and the room needed for attached cables. A case or unusually crowded laptop edge can make a nominally compatible connector inconvenient in practice. The manufacturer’s construction description is not our own durability or temperature test.
ARCANITE mentions MacBook Pro,MacBook Air and USB-C laptops and says the hub needs no installation. The page does not name exact computer-chip families or operating-system versions, so this review does not add a universal Mac or Windows guarantee. Attached peripherals can still have their own software requirements even when the hub itself operates without an extra driver.
Choose LUCN3290 for the confirmed one-screen and two USB-A arrangement when 4K30 is enough. Choose another documented dock when charging wattage, an additional USB-C data connection or a precise new-computer compatibility claim is essential to the purchase.
Key details at a glance
| USB-A downstream data ports | 2 |
|---|---|
| HDMI outputs | 1 |
| Full-size DisplayPort outputs | 0 |
| Host requirements | An attached L-shaped USB-C host connector is described. Exact computer video, chip and OS fit still needs checking. |
| Power and charging | The page gives 100W/20V5A PD and 100W-output wording, without settling power direction, net laptop output or the supplied charger. |
| Data and device limits | Two USB 3.0 USB-A ports establish nominal 5Gbps capability. An ordinary data role for the power-rated USB-C socket is not established. |
Use the exact model’s instructions for operating limits, supplied equipment and version differences.
