Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the listed iPad arrangement provide HDMI plus two 5 Gbps USB-A sockets?
Yes after exact tablet/case and DP Alt Mode checks; the maker limits it to one HDD/SSD at a time.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the original package include a charging supply?
No. Its listed package is hub, guide and bag; a suitable PD source is separate.
Explore this need in the finder →Can it read SD and microSD cards?
No. Neither card reader is part of this documented model.

The Dockteck DD0004 is a direct-attach hub for selected USB-C iPads. It groups one HDMI output, two USB-A data sockets, a charging input and a headphone/microphone connection beside the tablet. Its main buying question is physical fit: Dockteck advises against using this model with an iPad case, so check how it would work with the cover or keyboard case you use every day.
That restriction makes it a different choice from a cable-connected hub or a case-friendly magnetic model. If removing a case is inconvenient or leaves the tablet awkwardly supported, a compatible cabled arrangement may be more practical. The number of sockets is useful only after the hub can attach properly to the intended device.
Use the exact tablet list
The manufacturer names 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models from 2018, 2020 and 2021, along with the 2020 iPad Air. It explicitly excludes 2017-and-earlier iPads. This assessment keeps that scope rather than turning a USB-C plug into a promise for every later tablet generation.
For video, the host also needs DisplayPort Alt Mode. Dockteck advertises one HDMI output up to 4K 60 Hz for mirroring or extending a suitable source. Check the tablet's actual external-display behavior and the application you intend to use; the presence of the connector alone does not establish a particular current desktop-management feature.
Plan one external screen and a suitable HDMI cable. If the main requirement is two independent monitors, this five-function hub has neither the output count nor a documented arrangement for that job. The charging socket is not a second USB-C video connection.
Two data devices with a storage-load restriction
Both USB-A data sockets are advertised up to 5 Gbps. That lets an appropriate peripheral collection connect without a separate adapter for each plug. The manufacturer says all ports can operate together, but also limits the setup to one HDD or SSD at a time.
That is an important qualification when the intended workflow is copying between two bus-powered drives. A keyboard plus one storage device is a different load from two storage devices. Choose a hub with a documented arrangement for the latter if it is essential, rather than relying on the total socket count.
Interface speed is not a measured copying result. The tablet, storage devices, files and shared host connection still affect the transfer. Dockteck also describes the USB-A sockets as mainly for data and advises against using them for high-load devices or phone charging. Keep a separate suitable charger for devices that primarily need power.
Charging and audio are part of the intended tablet setup
The maker states up to 100 W PD input and a maximum 92 W pass-through path to the host. A listed tablet negotiates its own supported power; the adapter ceiling is not a promise that every iPad charges at that wattage. Dockteck recommends a USB-C PD charger of at least 38 W and an appropriate USB-C cable.
The original package list contains the hub, welcome guide and storage bag, so plan that charging source separately. The 3.5 mm connection supports headphones and a microphone, while Apple-headset inline controls are excluded. When both HDMI and audio are connected, the FAQ describes output selection depending on the order of connection.
Check that a wide USB accessory will leave enough room for the other plug when the hub sits against the tablet edge.
Choose the DD0004 when a listed tablet can attach directly and its HDMI, USB data and wired-audio combination meets the task. Check the case and storage-load limitations first. The exact DD0004 manufacturer page supplies these conditions; no independent charging-speed, heat or reliability test is claimed here.
