UCN3610 Dark BlackIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

One external HDMI workspace plus USB-A accessories on a supported video-capable USB-C host.

The main tradeoff

100W describes PD input; the original manual does not separately state net laptop wattage.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is the exact Dark Black model documented for a base M1 Mac and one HDMI screen?

Yes. The exact variant names base M1, and its manual establishes one HDMI output with appropriate host video.

Is 100W guaranteed to reach the laptop?

No. The original manual labels 100W as power input and gives no separate net host ceiling.

The Hiearcool UCN3610 in Dark Black is a compact option for a laptop that needs one HDMI screen, wired Ethernet and several USB-A accessories. Its useful distinction is the three USB 3.0 ports alongside SD andmicro SD slots. The charging headline needs more care: the original manual identifies 100W as the PD input maximum, without separately stating how many watts reach the laptop.

Check the exact variant and host

The reviewed manufacturer page identifies the Dark Black UCN3610 and names base M1 Mac compatibility. That is evidence for this particular variant’s intended host family; it does not extend automatically to every color page, later Apple chip or operating-system release. The linked original UCN3610 manual provides the connection diagram and operating cautions used here.

The computer’s USB-C connection must support display transfer for HDMI to work. AUSB-C port that only charges the computer or moves ordinary USB data will not supply a video signal. The manual mentions Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C computer connections in that context. Its USB generation wording should not be mistaken for proof that any port with the same shape has video capability.

One HDMI display, up to 4K60

The manual specifies a single HDMI output up to 3840 by 2160 at 60Hz. This is a good target for a single external work screen when the computer, cable and display support that complete mode. It is a manufacturer capability claim rather than a result of our own monitor testing. A lower-capability source can still limit the resulting mode, so check the laptop’s specifications before making 4K60 essential.

One HDMI socket means one direct external monitor connection from this hub. The three USB-A ports are data connections and do not add independent display engines. A buyer who needs two independently arranged external screens should choose a dock with a documented arrangement for the exact computer and any required display software.

USB devices, network and cards

All three USB-A ports are advertised at 5Gbps. That gives room for a storage device and ordinary input accessories without needing to unplug one whenever another is used. The interface figure is not a copying benchmark, and the ports share the upstream computer connection. Simultaneous transfers and network use can compete for the available bandwidth.

The Ethernet socket supports 10/100/1000Mbps links. The manual includes an older Mac network-service setup procedure for the first use of Ethernet. That is a useful reminder to check the operating system’s network settings if a cable is connected but the new network service does not appear. A link-rate specification also does not guarantee an internet-download speed.

The SD andmicro SD slots let camera cards connect without a separate reader. The manual supports both formats and gives a capacity claim, but it does not establish simultaneous access strongly enough to promise card-to-card copying with both slots active. Choose another documented reader arrangement if concurrent cards are an essential part of the workflow.

Power needs a deliberate sequence

The USB-C PD socket is a power input, not an extra USB-C data connection. The computer must support PD charging for that function to work. Since the manual gives no separate net host ceiling, this model cannot satisfy a requirement for a confirmed 100W delivered to the laptop merely because a 100W charger fits its input rating.

The manual tells users to connect PD before attaching other ports when power demand is high, and to avoid disconnecting PD during data transfer. It also describes the MacBook’s protection behavior when connected devices demand too much current. Plan demanding peripherals around their own power requirements and safely finish storage activity before changing the power arrangement. The reviewed material does not clearly establish a supplied wall charger.

Choose the UCN3610 Dark Black for its documented one-screen, three USB-A and Gigabit arrangement when a separate suitable power plan is acceptable. Choose a dock with a stated host-wattage output for a demanding laptop, or a different display solution when independent multi-screen expansion is the deciding requirement.
