MH04Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

Putting everyday USB-A peripheral connections within reach of a USB-A computer.

The main tradeoff

The manufacturer explicitly excludes charging and external powered-hub operation.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I use a two-foot host lead for four USB-A devices?

Yes. The exact manufacturer page identifies MH04 and a two-foot USB-A cable, with four data ports.

Is it a powered charging hub?

No. INVZI explicitly says this model is not powered and does not support charging.

A little more reach for ordinary USB accessories

The INVZI MagHub MH04 is a four-port USB-A data hub with a two-foot host cable. That extra reach is its practical distinction: you can put the sockets where they are easier to use instead of crowding accessories immediately beside the computer. It suits a small collection of familiar USB-A peripherals rather than a whole display-and-charging workstation.

The manufacturer's exact model is MH04. Its description identifies a USB-A host arrangement, four USB3.0 ports and a5Gbps headline. A USB-C-only computer is therefore not the native connection assumed by this product. Select the upstream plug before deciding whether the extra ports fit your accessories.

More sockets, with shared throughput

Four data connections can keep a keyboard, mouse receiver, occasional drive and another accessory together. The5Gbps figure is an advertised interface maximum, not an independently measured transfer result. Every device still shares the link between the hub and computer.

That shared path usually matters differently for a collection of input devices than for several storage drives copying at once. If the problem is lack of sockets, the MH04 addresses it directly. If the problem is needing several independent high-speed storage links, simply adding four downstream ports does not provide those links.

The manufacturer explicitly excludes charging

INVZI says the hub is not powered and does not support charging. That is a useful limitation to settle early. It is not a powered desk charging station, and it does not charge the host laptop through USB-C Power Delivery.

Keep the computer charger separate. For peripherals with a substantial or specific power requirement, check their own supplies and operating instructions. A hub that takes power from the host does not create more power merely by offering additional sockets. Choose a model with a documented external supply when that is part of the requirement.

What the cable changes

A two-foot lead can be helpful when the computer sits behind a monitor or away from the edge of the desk. It gives more placement flexibility than a short direct-plug adapter. Before buying, consider the route from the host socket to where you actually want to insert accessories, including enough slack to avoid pulling on the computer port.

The page does not establish a detachable host-cable system, so do not choose it expecting to swap the lead for another length. Its documented benefit is the supplied reach, rather than an interchangeable cable arrangement.

Compatibility without adding unlisted functions

The maker lists WindowsXP through10, MacOSX10.6–10.12or later, and Linux2.6.14or later, with plug-and-play setup. Those are the source's actual compatibility descriptions. They should not be turned into a model-by-model guarantee for every later computer, or a promise that all connected peripherals need no software.

Choose the MH04 when four USB-A data connections and a two-foot USB-A host lead solve the problem. Choose something else for USB-C accessories, screens, cards, networking or charging. Its value comes from simple, reachable data ports; treating it as a multi-function dock would create requirements the product was not designed to meet.
