CB-C16sIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

Card-heavy workflows that need both card formats mounted together alongside USB-A peripherals.

The main tradeoff

No display or network output and no downstream USB-C data socket; a supplied laptop charger is not established.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I keep an SD card and a microSD card accessible together?

Yes. The exact CB-C16s description explicitly supports reading and writing both cards at the same time.

Can all three USB-A sockets meet the advertised 5 Gbps interface class?

Yes. Three USB 3.0 Type-A ports are specified. They still share the computer-side connection rather than each receiving an independent upstream path.

Does its charging claim reach a 60 W host requirement?

The maker explicitly states up to 60 W pass-through to a USB Power Delivery laptop. Use a suitable external source and cable; supplied charger inclusion is not established.

Three faster USB ports with a useful two-card workflow

The LENTION CB-C16s concentrates on USB peripherals, memory cards and laptop charging. It has three USB 3.0 Type-A data ports, separate SD and microSD slots, and a Type-C power input. There is no HDMI connection in the exact model’s documented layout.

Its most useful distinction is that LENTION explicitly supports reading and writing both card formats at the same time. For a photographer who carries an SD card and a small camera’s microSD card, that is a clearer fit than a two-slot reader that permits only one card at once.

Use the three USB-A connections for the actual peripheral mix

All three data sockets belong to the advertised 5 Gbps USB 3.0 class. The CB-C16s therefore avoids the one-fast-plus-two-slow arrangement found in some compact hubs. That matters when more than one of the connected accessories needs a faster interface.

The rating is a link capability, not a measured copying result or three independent 5 Gbps paths to the computer. Simultaneous devices share the upstream connection and the host’s available resources. A drive plus keyboard and mouse is a different workload from several storage devices copying large folders together.

The manufacturer describes ordinary portable peripherals and says no external driver is required. It specifically excludes Apple’s SuperDrive. A USB-A plug that fits physically does not override that device-specific restriction.

Both card slots can work together

The documented readers support SD and microSD, with a UHS-I claim up to 95 MB/s and simultaneous access to both cards. That is useful for transferring from two sources without removing one card to insert the other.

Actual transfer times still depend on the cards, their contents and the shared computer connection. The quoted reader figure should not be interpreted as a tested result for two cards copying at that speed together. Choose around the supported concurrent workflow rather than adding the headline rates.

Charging is separate from USB-C data expansion

LENTION explicitly describes the Type-C charging port as passing up to 60 W to a USB Power Delivery laptop. That is the manufacturer’s stated host charging ceiling, not our measurement of a particular charger, cable or computer.

The connected computer must accept USB-C Power Delivery, and the external source must suit that computer. Do not assume a wall charger is supplied: the inspected package description does not establish a complete laptop charging kit. Ordinary data use does not require an external power source, but laptop charging does.

The Type-C input is a power role. It does not add a downstream USB-C data socket for a drive. If your portable storage uses a USB-C plug and requires a direct C data connection, this model’s three Type-A data ports may be the wrong physical arrangement.

Check the computer rather than relying on the year alone

The source names USB-C MacBooks from the earlier Intel era, Windows Surface and other laptop examples, and USB-C Chromebooks. Those examples help establish the intended host connection. They do not prove support for every later Apple chip or every device that shares the connector shape.

Earlier MacBooks without a USB-C connection are explicitly outside the direct fit. There is also no native display output to unlock with a better computer port: this is a data-and-card hub, not a monitor adapter.

Where the CB-C16s makes sense

Choose it for three USB-A data devices and genuine two-card access while retaining a documented laptop charging route. It can simplify a card-heavy portable workflow without paying for display or network sockets you do not need.

Choose another layout when HDMI, Ethernet, USB-C data or a guaranteed supplied charger is essential. Before ordering, confirm the offered unit’s CB-C16s model and the usable cable reach. The manufacturer’s size line contains an ambiguous four-number expression, so it should not be used to plan a precise desk clearance or cable run.

LENTION’s exact CB-C16s product specifications provide the port, concurrency and charging claims discussed here.
