CB-C17 Earlier USB-C HubIllustrated overview
A useful fit for

A supported earlier MacBook configuration whose actual unit layout and mixed-speed workload match the documented roles.

The main tradeoff

Only one USB data connection is USB 3.0. Exact downstream plug counts, simultaneous cards and net host charging power are not established by the short maker overview.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the earlier documented host route support one 4K 30 Hz HDMI screen?

The maker overview supports mirroring or extending through HDMI up to 4K at 30 Hz, on a host with the actual full-function USB-C video capability.

Can both card formats be selected without assuming simultaneous use?

SD and microSD slots are documented. Simultaneous access is not established, so the two formats should not be treated as a confirmed concurrent-reader arrangement.

Does the earlier configuration establish 4K 60 Hz output?

No. The dated maker overview specifies 4K 30 Hz rather than 4K 60 Hz.

An earlier mixed-speed hub for basic laptop connections

The CB-C17 is an earlier LENTION model described in the manufacturer’s dated 2021 overview. Its documented arrangement combines one USB 3.0 peripheral connection, two USB 2.0 connections, SD/microSD access, HDMI and a Type-C charging role. The useful distinction is the speed hierarchy: not every USB connection has the same capability.

Choose this configuration around a supported full-function USB-C host and the actual peripheral workload. It should not be confused with a newer similarly named hub, or treated as a promise that every port and package carrying a related LENTION title is identical.

One faster connection and two slower ones serve different tasks

The manufacturer gives the USB 3.0 route an interface ceiling up to 5 Gbps. The two USB 2.0 connections belong to the 480 Mbps interface class. That can suit a faster peripheral alongside ordinary input devices, rather than several devices each requiring the faster link.

These are interface capabilities, not measured file-copying results. Several connected devices still share the computer-side connection. If the requirement is three fast data sockets, the documented one-plus-two generation split is the wrong match even before actual storage performance is considered.

Check the physical socket layout of the actual unit

The short technical overview establishes the three USB generations and roles, but does not supply an unambiguous text specification for each downstream connector shape or the exact supplied cable package. Check the model mark and physical sockets on the offered unit before choosing around a required count of USB-A or USB-C data plugs.

That is a different question from the host plug. The source identifies the accessory as a USB-C hub for full-function Type-C devices. A USB-C computer connection does not by itself establish a downstream USB-C data socket for a drive.

HDMI reaches the documented 4K30 mode

The dated maker description supports mirroring or extending to an HDMI display up to 4K at 30 Hz. That gives the model a single-screen role on a supported host with the appropriate video function. It does not establish 4K 60 Hz or two independent external displays.

A data-only USB-C host cannot be assumed to supply that native video route. Check the actual computer, HDMI cable and screen together. If a particular higher-refresh configuration is essential, retain that requirement and compare another documented arrangement.

Card access uses an older data route

The overview describes SD and microSD slots with a 480 Mbps transfer interface ceiling. The presence of the separate USB 3.0 peripheral connection does not turn the built-in card readers into a faster USB 3.x route.

The two card formats are available, but the inspected text does not establish simultaneous reading. A workflow that needs both cards mounted together therefore requires a separately documented concurrency statement. Two slots alone do not supply that evidence.

Keep the charging claim within its documented scope

LENTION’s overview describes a 60 W Type-C charging function for laptop use. It does not give one separately established net amount reaching the host during a shared workload or identify a supplied wall charger. Plan the actual external source and cable rather than assuming the headline is a complete charging kit.

For an older unit, compare the printed CB-C17 model mark and actual sockets with the documented arrangement. Similar names can describe a different USB generation mix or HDMI limit. Keep that identity check separate from the color of the body.

Shortlist the CB-C17 only when that exact earlier layout and its stated screen/card limits fit the job. Choose a more fully specified alternative when exact downstream plug counts, simultaneous cards, minimum delivered charging power or higher screen timing determines the purchase.

LENTION’s dated exact CB-C17 overview is the source for this earlier configuration.

Key details at a glance

Host requirementsUSB-C host with the actual full-function video capability required for HDMI. The dated manufacturer overview names MacBook-series use without an Apple-chip generation.
Screen arrangementThe earlier maker description supports one HDMI display up to 4K 30 Hz. No 4K 60 Hz or independent dual-display mode is established.
Power and chargingThe dated description supports a Type-C laptop charging role with a 60 W headline. Net delivered-host power and supplied charger inclusion are not separately established.
Data and device limitsThree USB data connections are documented: one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0. The inspected technical text does not establish each downstream connector shape, so no certified A/C data-port counts are assigned. SD/microSD use a 480 Mbps reader route; concurrency is unknown.
InstallationEarlier cabled CB-C17 configuration from the manufacturer’s 2021 overview. Check the actual unit’s model and physical layout rather than substituting a similarly named current hub.

Use the exact model’s instructions for operating limits, supplied equipment and version differences.
