A useful fit for

A video-capable USB-C notebook needing HDMI, three USB-A ports, cards and wired networking.

The main tradeoff

100W is the charging input; net notebook power and simultaneous card access are unconfirmed.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can a suitable DP1.4 notebook use one 4K60 HDMI screen and three 5Gbps USB-A devices?

Qualifies when the host also meets the manual’s HBR3 and DSC conditions.

Can I require 100W delivered to the notebook?

Fails: 100W is the PD input ceiling. The source does not establish 100W net host output.

Can I attach an ordinary USB-C storage drive?

Fails: the USB-C socket is the PD charging input.

A useful one-screen port mix

The NOVOO R8Pro, model NVHUB8P60N5DNS, combines one HDMI output, three USB-A data ports, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and microSD readers and a USB-C charging input. It suits a notebook that needs a single monitor and several ordinary desk connections through one USB-C lead. The deciding display detail is the host requirement behind its 4K60 headline.

The original manual's cover names the exact long model number, which helps distinguish this hub from the many similarly named NOVOO adapters. Its port diagram also establishes the actual arrangement: two USB-A sockets on one side, one on the other, with HDMI, the card slots, charging input and Ethernet around the body. It does not provide a downstream USB-C data socket.

4K60 needs more than the connector shape

The manual specifies 3840 ×2160 at 60Hz when the notebook supports DP1.4 HBR3 with Display Stream Compression. That is a more demanding condition than simply having USB-C. For HDMI output generally, the host must supply DisplayPort Alt Mode or a suitable Thunderbolt 3 video connection. A data-only USB-C port cannot produce the required native video.

The same specification lists lower output modes including 4K30 and 1080p. Its illustrated operating-system setup examples use 4K30. That is consistent with treating 4K60 as a conditional maximum rather than a guarantee for every listed computer. Check the notebook's display implementation, monitor and HDMI cable together when 60Hz at 4K is essential.

There is one HDMI socket and one independent external display route. The dock does not become a two-screen workstation through a software setting. NOVOO lists broad Windows, MacOS, Android and Linux compatibility, but the retained manual does not establish exact modern Apple chips or a particular closed-lid MacBook arrangement.

Three USB-A sockets share the notebook link

All three USB-A data ports are advertised at up to 5Gbps, with 5V900mA charging-output support stated in the manual. That does not create three independent full-speed links back to the computer or establish an unlimited simultaneous power budget. Connected devices share the upstream connection and depend on the available supply.

The FAQ is unusually useful for planning storage. When a high-current disk causes display trouble, NOVOO directs the owner to connect external power and advises using no more than one hard disk. The manual also suggests moving equipment or using 5GHz Wi-Fi if a storage device interferes with 2.4GHz wireless operation. These are manufacturer setup cautions, not failures observed in our own testing.

Network and cards

The RJ45 interface supports 10, 100 and 1000Mbps network links. A Gigabit link depends on the connected network and cabling; it is separate from the 5Gbps USB-port specification. The SD and microSD slots let a reader bring either card format into the notebook setup. Their presence does not establish simultaneous access to both cards, which the retained source leaves unstated.

The USB-C socket accepts up to 100W PD at 20V5A. NOVOO lists 6–11W hub consumption, but does not give a clear separate maximum delivered to the notebook. Do not subtract a chosen consumption figure and present the result as a guaranteed host rating. A basic supported charging function is different from proving a specific minimum notebook wattage.

Set up power before busy peripherals

The manual advises connecting the charging source before other functions in demanding setups and avoiding removal of PD power during transfers. The 75g hub measures 104.7 ×46 ×15mm and uses a fixed host lead. Choose it for that portable one-HDMI arrangement when the host meets the display conditions. Choose another design if downstream USB-C data, two independent screens or a guaranteed high host-power figure is essential.

For a powered desk, the manual recommends connecting PD power before the other devices and keeping that source attached during transfers. Disconnecting the power source changes the operating arrangement while storage may be active. Follow that setup order rather than treating the charging lead as an unrelated convenience that can always be removed without affecting peripherals.
